'Tomcat Booze' AKA Tom Milkowski...was one of the founding members of the Booze Brothers Revue in 1980, adding a hard-driving edge to the band on guitar, keyboards, and vocals. In the 70’s, he fronted the popular, high-energy, rock’n’roll show band, the “New Legion Rock Spectacular”. Their recordings are now collector’s items. In the late 80’s, he fronted his own band, “Fast Train”, which featured local guitar whiz, Greg Koch. He now fronts the band that he helped create.
'Johnny Bravo' AKA Doug Syme...has been the director of the award winning Milwaukee HS of the Arts jazz program since 2001. Before that he was band director / dept chair at Vincent HS, and taught jazz studies & classical guitar at UW Stevens Point. Doug began teaching for the MYSO jazz studies program in 2004. He also teaches private guitar. Doug holds a BM from Northern Illinois University, an MME from UW Stevens Point, completed his teacher licensure at Alverno College and recently received his D.M.A. from Boston University.
'Fast Eddie' AKA Ed Sison...started playing drums in high school. He was also an Electronics / Engineering Student and Technician and built a Sound Studio / Recording Studio. Ed met Tom Milwaukee at Real to Reel Studio Session. They have been working together for 33 years. "I consider myself very fortunate to work with extremely talented musicians and performers". Other bands: Houndog Band, OX, Freddy & the Free Loaders, Truc, Morgan & Barnes, New Legion. Business: Partner in LaFrontera Restaurant, Peppers on Broadway Restaurant, ETS Systems and Badger Security & Alarm. Ed is married with 3 kids.
'Tom Collins' AKA Tom Burgermeister has been with the band since 1993. For 23 years he was an MPS English teacher and has been a professional MKE area Magician since 1980. Tom was a founding member of the band 'Hot Sauce' in the 90's and spent many years playing in wedding bands, community theater productions and small jazz combos. He enjoys collecting and restoring pinball machines and cruising in his vintage 1979 Corvette. Tom has a zany artist wife.
'D-Wood Booze' AKA Dean Richard...started playing guitar at age 13, and soon began teaching himself harmonica by listening to Blues records. Originally from Madison, WI, he started working in various bands in that area, and was a full-time musician for 17 years. He built a home recording studio in the mid-80's, and engineered and/or produced two songs that became Top Ten Hits on Madison's Z104 radio station. Prior to the Booze Brothers he played in the band 'Incognito'. by day Dean is computer Software Engineer. Dean loves puppies and rainbows, believes that Blues music can save your soul, and is the proud father of two wonderful sons.
Steve 'Bad Boy' AKA Steve Grimm has been wailing since he came out of the womb! By 9 he was playing piano, and at 14 he aquired his first guitar, a 335 Gibson. After graduating the Berklee School of Music in Boston he began a musical journey performing countless gigs across the nation. Back in 1975, he started a band called Crossfire, which evolved into "the legendary" Bad Boy. Their latest release, We Should've Been Dead By Now, is a collection of new material that while reminiscent of the style that gave them their success, shows musical growth that comes with experience.
'Cocktail Curtis' AKA Curtis Shanks is married, father of 2. Plays all over town...and beyond.
'Kevan O' AKA Kevan Oberdorf started playing trumpet in 1975. He grew up listening to big bands, Herb Alpert and Al Hirt. Since the early 80's he's played in several local bar bands, toured with the American Legion band and played in many big bands: Including Bill Sargent, Dave Kennedy, Jeff Pietrangelo, George Busateri, In the Mood and is currently with Swing Nouveau. Kevan is married, has 3 kids and is very involved in St Bernard's church and school activities. By day Kevan is the store director of Sendik's Food Market in Tosa. He has been in the grocery business almost as long as he has played the trumpet - 29 years!
Dave 'Maceo' AKA Dave Matsen grew up in Waukesha, WI where he started saxophone at 11 years old. Early influences such as "Chicago", "BS&T", "The Brecker Brothers", "Weather Report" shaped his musical direction. Presently living in Chicago, he has toured throughout the US, Caribbean and India. Professional performing highlights include: Daryl Stuermer of Phil Collins/Genesis, Douglas Spotted Eagle and Peter Buffett. His sax playing has been featured on national commercials and television series.
